Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year for 2025, Cinnamon Slate 2113-40, is a rich, earthy hue that combines the warmth of spice with the grounding depth of slate gray. This captivating color has an understated complexity, blending brown and red undertones that evoke a sense of warmth, comfort, and sophistication. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to refresh your space, Cinnamon Slate can bring an inviting, calm energy to your bedroom. Pairing it with complementary shades of warm whites, charcoal, and deep navy can create a serene, sophisticated sanctuary perfect for relaxation.

What is Cinnamon Slate?

Cinnamon Slate 2113-40 (Benjamin Moore’s 2025 Color of the Year) is an earthy tone that walks the fine line between warm brown and cool gray. Its spicy, cinnamon-red undertones give it an inviting warmth, while its muted slate base brings a sense of quiet sophistication. This balanced combination allows the color to work across different light conditions and interior styles, making it versatile and timeless.

The beauty of Cinnamon Slate lies in its ability to feel both modern and classic, cozy and refined, making it a perfect choice for a bedroom where comfort meets style. Its subtle complexity creates an atmosphere of calm without overwhelming the space, providing a soft yet impactful backdrop for the perfect night’s sleep.

Creating a Calming Bedroom with Cinnamon Slate

To turn your bedroom into a restful haven with Cinnamon Slate, it’s important to thoughtfully incorporate complementary colors and textures. Here’s how to create a balanced and calming bedroom design:

1. Combine Cinnamon Slate with Warm Whites

The soft, earthy tone of Cinnamon Slate pairs beautifully with warm whites that can lighten and brighten the space. A warm white trim, ceiling, or bedding creates contrast without being too stark, offering a harmonious balance of dark and light. Colors like Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace (OC-65) or Simply White (OC-117) are ideal choices. These shades will bring an airy, peaceful vibe to the room and highlight the rich, warm undertones of Cinnamon Slate.

Design Tip: Use warm whites for the bedding and curtains to keep the space feeling fresh and open. A white bed frame or furniture can also provide a striking contrast without detracting from the warmth of the walls.

2. Add Depth with Charcoal or Dark Navy

Pairing Cinnamon Slate with deep charcoal or navy tones can enhance the sophisticated vibe of the room while maintaining a sense of relaxation. Charcoal grays like Benjamin Moore's Kendall Charcoal (HC-166) or deep navy shades such as Hale Navy (HC-154) work beautifully with the earthy undertones of Cinnamon Slate, creating a chic, tranquil environment. These deep shades add dimension and drama to the room, helping to ground the color palette while maintaining a calming atmosphere.

Design Tip: Consider using charcoal or navy for accent walls, bed linens, or accessories like throw pillows and rugs. These colors will add contrast and intrigue without overpowering the room’s overall vibe.

3. Incorporate Natural Elements

To enhance the earthy undertones of Cinnamon Slate, consider incorporating natural materials and textures into the room. Wood tones, stone, and woven textiles work beautifully alongside warm, muted shades. A reclaimed wood bed frame, a jute rug, or a stone accent wall can bring in a sense of organic warmth that complements the deep hues of Cinnamon Slate. These elements help balance out the coolness of the gray undertones, keeping the space cozy and inviting.

Design Tip: Introduce wooden furniture pieces, such as a dresser or side tables, to bring warmth and texture into the room. Textured linen bedding or wool throw blankets will enhance the tactile richness of the design.

Complementary Benjamin Moore Paint Colors for Cinnamon Slate

If you’re looking to expand beyond the bedroom walls or need accents to complete your design, here are some Benjamin Moore colors that pair perfectly with Cinnamon Slate:

  • Soft Beige or Taupe: Soft, neutral shades like Shaker Beige (HC-45) or Grant Beige (HC-83) can create a calm, cohesive atmosphere when paired with Cinnamon Slate. These colors bring a gentle contrast that works beautifully in a bedroom setting.

  • Warm Taupe or Greige: For a slightly deeper neutral, consider shades like Revere Pewter (HC-172) or Edgecomb Gray (HC-173). These tones are light enough to prevent the room from feeling too dark while enhancing the warmth of Cinnamon Slate.

  • Rich Creams: To add warmth without veering too yellow, opt for creamy whites like Monroe Bisque (HC-26) or Pale Almond (OC-9). These hues are rich but soft, creating a seamless blend with Cinnamon Slate for a refined yet comfortable ambiance.

  • Soft Green or Sage: A muted green like Gray Cashmere (2138-60) can introduce a subtle natural vibe that harmonizes with Cinnamon Slate. The earthy tone of green combined with the warmth of Cinnamon Slate evokes a sense of calm and tranquility, perfect for a bedroom retreat.

Styling the Room

When designing with Cinnamon Slate, keep the space grounded with minimalistic, modern furniture, and let the colors take center stage. Opt for clean lines in the furniture design, perhaps a low-profile bed frame or minimalist dressers. Accent with plush textiles like velvet or wool in complementary tones of gray, charcoal, and navy. Add natural textures with woven baskets, wooden furniture, and stone or ceramic accessories.

Consider soft, warm lighting to accentuate the color palette. A statement chandelier or bedside lamps with soft brass or matte black finishes can add a touch of sophistication while keeping the room cozy. Candles, soft throws, and textured pillows in complementary colors will complete the look, adding depth and warmth to the design.

Conclusion

Cinnamon Slate is a rich, multi-dimensional color that can transform a bedroom into a serene, sophisticated retreat. By combining it with warm whites for contrast, charcoal or deep navy for depth, and natural materials for texture, you can create a balanced and calming environment. Whether you’re looking to create a cozy hideaway or a chic, contemporary space, Cinnamon Slate offers the perfect foundation for a restful, relaxing bedroom. Let its earthy warmth and quiet sophistication envelop you as you unwind in style.

https://theplanetclicker.net/ came up in a video I watched recently so I went and checked it out. The interface is fairly clean, upgrades and stats are separated clearly enough that nothing feels confusing. Tried it on my old laptop and it still ran fine, no noticeable lag or crashes.
